Stand-Alone Server Services and Managers

The Stand-alone Server consists of all services and managers in the cluster version, including a Cluster Manager responsible for the communication between the virtual server and dispatcher nodes.

In contrast to the cluster version, the stand-alone version contains two Service Managers in one virtual machine – one for the dispatcher part and one for the server part. The Service Manager for the dispatcher part takes care of starting and stopping services that run on a dispatcher node in the cluster solution – that is, communication services. The Service Manager for the server part manages services that run on server nodes in the cluster solution. Both Service Managers have an additional property, StandAlone , which denotes that they are running in stand-alone mode.

Note: For detailed information about Services and Managers administration, refer to the Services Administration Reference and Managers Administration Reference sections in this document.
